Built from Scratch
Steve Swiatczak and Adler Kennedy built Savory on a simple idea: cook real food, do it right, and don't cut corners. They didn't just open a restaurant — they designed it, built it, and put it together with their own hands. As Owner-Chefs, they're in the kitchen — not just on the menu — bringing 30 years of combined experience to every plate that leaves the pass.
They stayed in touch after that. There was no grand plan, no years of talking it over. When the timing felt right, they just did it — and it pushed them to their limit. The buildout ran long. Money got tight. Equipment failed at the worst possible moments. There were permits, delays, and days that tested everything they had. Opening a restaurant never goes the way you expect, and this one was no different. But they kept going.
But things are looking up. Savory is what they always imagined: honest, scratch-made food driven by the seasons, served in a room where every guest feels genuinely welcome. No pretense. Just two chefs, their team, and a shared belief in cooking the way food should be cooked.
What you see here — every detail of this space — was designed and built by Steve and Adler themselves, with an enormous amount of help from friends and family who believed in this place before it existed. That spirit is still in the walls, and it shows up in how we take care of every guest who walks through the door.
